* Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communication, marketing, journalism, or relevant field and/or related work experience, advanced degree preferred * Minimum of 5-10 years of experience with reporting and writing on the biomedical sciences * Experience (typically 1-3 years) in the following areas: Public Relations or marketing, producing content in a variety of formats including print, web, social media, and advertising * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to write effectively under deadline for a variety of purposes, audiences, and media * Experience working in a higher education environment preferred * Demonstrated organizational and collaboration skills * Demonstrated ability to think and plan across channels and develop effective communication strategies * Demonstrated ability to use tools and techniques for developing web-based dissemination of information, including website design, layout, and user experience requirements, and accessibility * Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality infographics and/or other media to represent data, knowledge, or information * Experience writing for different platforms such as websites, blogs, newsletter, social media, etc
