Summary:
Nurses in the Critical Care Float Pool will will provide care to intensive care and progressive care level patients at Beebe Healthcare. They are capable and trained to take care of high acuity patients and the most advanced therapies including post-operative cardiac surgical patients. Going to a different unit everyday gives them the opportunity to serve different patient populations, meet new people, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
As a CCFP RN, you will provide knowledgeable/caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients, families, nurses, and healthcare delivery teams. To help achieve our mission, you will consistently provide safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care. Ensuring that all patient care activities and interactions are patient/family centered is of vital importance. Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care, to include patient and family education, is expected.
The CCFP RN will work every other weekend. The program can grow, floating to the Emergency Department or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

9. Safely administers and assesses the patient response to medication utilizing essential knowledge of pharmacology and Hospital and Department Standards of Care.
10. Evaluates the effectiveness of the planned strategies in relation to patient responses and the attainment of expected outcomes including patient response and if desired outcomes have not been achieved.
12. Develops a comprehensive educational plan for the patient and family, utilizing appropriate resources and documents according to the department's documentation standards.
13. Participates in hospital and/or unit-based patient safety, quality improvement, clinical trials, and process improvement activities to support and improve patient outcomes. Activities may include data collection, analysis, and evaluation.
14. Provides leadership at the bedside as a delegator, collaborator, facilitator, and communicator.
15. Maintains a collaborative professional relationship with peers and colleagues to create a positive and professional work environment.
16. Supports collaboration with nursing colleagues and other disciplines to implement plan of care by participation in multidisciplinary rounds.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1 years of Intensive Care Nursing experience
Telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience, able to independently interpret cardiac rhythms
Excellent time management
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
RN licensed, or eligible to practice in Delaware
Proficient in English, strong verbal, and written communication skills.
Associate degree in nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
Critical Care Certification (CCRN)
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Nursing
Two or more years of Intensive Care Nursing experience
