This opportunity is:

Location: Memphis, TN 38134

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 5 am-1:30 pm

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through gross examination, dictation, and sampling of anatomic specimens.
• Maintain accurate records of specimens and associated data
• Participate in accessioning and labeling of specimens, specimen storage and disposal, and maintenance of reagents and equipment in the histology lab.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

• Have (or be eligible for) PA Certification through ASCP (or equivalent)
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
• Strong reading, writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience with large specimen grossing
