SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department director, performs procurement functions related to services, supplies and equipment. The Buyer acts as the primary procurement agent for NKCH in their assigned Category & Commodities. Works with departments and assigned suppliers to maintain an optimal flow of supplies to the system at the lowest total acquisition cost. The Buyer is an expert user of NKCH MMIS system and is the primary customer service contact system users about procurement operations and system issues and is responsible for resolving procurement related issues in a satisfactory manner ensuring a positive experience.
