Responsibilities
Pediatrix Medical Group of Washington is seeking a Neonatologist to join our practice in the heart of Washingtonâ™s celebrated wine and hops-growing region!
MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital (MYMH) has a 15-bed Level IIIA NICU serving South Central WA state.
Regional perinatal center for Yakima County, its surrounding counties, 4 federally designated critical access hospitals, and a 5th larger rural hospital.
Delivery rate of ~2500 births/year.
The only Level III NICU in a 70-mile radius. Surrounded by 5 federally designated critical access hospitals and 1 larger rural hospital that do not have pediatric or NICU services.
The NICU has over 40 years of history in providing expert neonatal medical care to this thriving rural community.
Average daily census of 10 patients and is actively rebuilding its robust service, in partnership with high-level community OB care and MFM services.
Offering conventional mechanical ventilation and bubble CPAP support but does not offer high frequency ventilation or iNO currently.
Full complement of therapists: Speech/Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists provide consultation, neurodevelopmental assessments, and recommendations for developmentally supportive therapies.
The team in Yakima partners with its sister practice in Spokane to hold weekly practice meetings, to review and update clinical guidelines, to host journal club, and to present M&M conferences.
Long-standing working relationship with all three children's hospitals in the state and their Pediatric subspecialty services: Mary Bridge Children's Hospital (Tacoma), Seattle Childrenâ™s Hospital (Seattle), and Sacred Heart Children's Hospital (Spokane). These hospitals provide regional pediatric support for those medically complex patients who require higher level NICU care or ongoing subspecialty care after discharge home.

Benefits and Compensation
Pay Range (Base Pay): $290,000 - $320,000
Other Types of Pay: Opportunity for non-guaranteed bonus pool.
Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employee are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire. Team members who meet the planâ™s minimum age requirement can enroll in the plan at any time, and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible.
Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year.
Paid Sick Leave:
Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 70 hours or eight days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.
NOTE: The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
