Overview
Responsible to assist the Program Director in the planning, implementation and direction of the Family Medicine Residency. The Associate Program Director (APD) assists in the overall planning and direction of activities associated with the Family Medicine Residency in order to meet the ACGME, ABFM, and other regulatory agency requirements for resident physicians and faculty as outlined by the hospital. Under the direction of the Program Director, Family Medicine Residency and the Graduate Medical Education Committee, the APD assists in maintaining and supporting the mission of patient care and medical education, the medical staff bylaws, and the policies and procedures of the medical center (in accordance with the Board of Trustees, Administration, Medical Staff, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals of this hospital).
Responsibilities
Serve as an advisor and mentor for the residents
Teach, evaluate, and provide formative and summative feedback to residents
Supervise residents in the inpatient and outpatient settings
Practice full spectrum Family Medicine including pediatrics, women's health, prenatal care, inpatient/ hospital medicine.
Provide compassionate and evidence based high quality patient care
Precept residents in the continuity clinic.
Maintain their clinical skills by providing direct patient care to their assigned panel of patients.
Understand and fully implement the ACGME Common Program Requirements along with the FM Specific Program requirements.
Assists in assuring the arrangement of affiliations and/or outside rotations necessary to meet the program objectives.
Assumes leadership for the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), Mid-Cycle Reviews and will participate in the coordination of inspections as required by the ACGME.

With a mission to serve the community, Beebe also offers many free screenings and outreach programs through its Population Health Department; and advanced medical care for those who are recuperating at home through Beebe Home Care Services.
Beebe is also training the next generation of nurses through the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing, located behind the Medical Cente...r in Lewes.
Beebe's Medical Staff has grown tremendously since the early 1990s. Employed physicians through Beebe Medical Group and our affiliated physicians on Beebe's Medical Staff now serve patients from Milford to Millville in specialties including cardiac surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, family practice, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatric neurology, and surgical oncology.
