We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our diverse and collaborative Gastroenterology team in Bloomington, IN!
Our Gastroenterologists and Advanced Practice Providers have good rapport and are focused on living the IU Health values of Purpose, Excellence, Compassion and Team. Job Description:
Full-Time, Day Shift
Monday-Friday, 8 or 10-hour shift options
No weekends, no call
75% outpatient, 25% inpatient
Some virtual visit days during the outpatient service
Will be assigned inpatient responsibilities on a rotation basis
Join a team of 6 physicians and 6 APPs
Care for adult patients (18+) with acute and chronic GI diseases, as well as urgent events
Key Responsibilities:
APPs see the majority of our outpatient clinic volume, including new referrals when appropriate.
Evaluate, assess and treat patients, with physician consultation as need.
Order entry for medications and outpatient testing.
Provider will be a resource for the staff
Refer out to other services as needed
Provider will support physician with inpatient rounding on GI service and be point of contact for Hospitalist/ED consults
Qualifications:
Must be board certified or board eligible
ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
Master's degree required
GI/Endoscopy or Primary Care experience preferred
If new graduate, GI clinical rotation required

The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021.
