Under the direct supervision of the PI, the lab assistant will play a key role in experiments focused on how genetic variants contribute to phenotypic variation in metabolic diseases and traits. Responsibilities include managing cell lines, such as SGBS and HEK293, as well as working with adipocytes differentiated by the postdoc. The assistant will perform qPCR to assess gene expression levels using established protocols developed by the postdoc. Additionally, the position involves supporting general lab operations, including maintaining supplies, equipment, and assisting with ordering necessary materials.
Salary: $22.02 - $25.90 hourly
