This position functions as the Acute Mental Health Programs Coordinator supervising Social Work and Psychology Providers in both the Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) Program in the Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMR VAMC) Emergency Department and the Inpatient Mental Health Unit (H2-IPU). Candidates may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. Licensure/Certification - Individuals assigned as social worker program coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. They are responsible for coordinating interdisciplinary staffing, work assignments, purchasing, treatment services provided, and admission criteria for both programs. They are administratively responsible for the programming and operations of both programs, develop policies and procedures for optimal operation, and prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. The incumbent provides leadership, direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for clinical providers in two distinct but related programs. They initiate and conduct audits for state and Joint Commission regulatory compliance, including productivity reports.
