About Us: Our outpatient orthopedic clinic is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. We specialize in treating musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, helping our patients achieve optimal physical function and well-being. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our patients.
Job Description: As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our outpatient orthopedic clinic, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical therapists and providing high-quality care to our patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized treatment plans and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions.
- Implement treatment plans designed by physical therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and report any changes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area and ensure the proper functioning of equipment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Associate's degree in physical therapist assistant.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience.
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in North Carolina.
