Labcorp is searching for a growth oriented, commercially minded, hands-on leader to serve as Vice President & General Manager (VP/GM) for the Mid America subdivision in the Denver subdivision. The Denver sub-division includes Minnesota, Colorado, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Kansas. The VP/GM will provide the leadership, management, and vision necessary to effectively lead and grow a diverse organization and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The VP/GM will lead an organization of over 500 people, both direct and indirect reporting lines, to drive employee engagement, strategic growth and operating goals of the business.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Health Systems and Mid-America, the VP/GM will lead a $300m+ P&L. The successful candidate should have 10 years of clinical diagnostics, life sciences or healthcare sales/operational leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have prior P&L management of at least $100M (preferred), sales leadership experience, and business & market development strategic acumen.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization to achieve the P&L objectives and business goals. Play an active role in the identification and timely resolution of commercial and field operational issues.
Build relationships and create partnerships with the customers in the region.
Develop market-specific strategies based on payer and provider landscapes to expand Labcorp presence within the sub region, including investments, partnerships, & M&A prospects.
Communicate and implement effective accelerated growth strategies and processes.
Position and communicate the vision and services of the organization to customers, business partners and employees by maintaining a high degree of external visibility to enhance the division's credibility and drive competitive advantage.
Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and people designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
Build and lead a customer focused, well informed and engaged organization that can communicate the value proposition and contribute to a better customer experience.
Create an inclusive and collaborative culture that will drive the region to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, business goals and objectives.
Develop employees and leaders who demonstrate Company values and leadership characteristics while achieving impressive results and delivering delightful customer experiences.
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and operation metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of experience in clinical diagnostics, business, life sciences, or healthcare. Advanced degree preferred
Previous full Profit & Loss management experience is preferred
Experience developing and delivering annual operating budgets
Commercial experience in working with the C-suite at customers and building lasting partnerships.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
Experience selling healthcare products or services to hospitals and health systems, with a solid understanding of managed care
Understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
Familiarity with the operational procedures at all levels of the organization
Ability to inspire employees to live up to their potential and optimize their productivity
Mergers and Acquisitions experience is a strong plus.h

Pay Range: $230,000 - $325,000, with bonus and equity
All job offers will be based on a candidate?s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
