Located within the VA Boston Healthcare System, this position directs the activities of a Cooperative Studies Program (CSP) Center, which conducts clinical trials and epidemiological studies as part of the Clinical Science Research & Development Service of VHA Office of Research and Development. The Health Science Officer provides scientific and administrative direction on research activities, as well as independently managing specifically assigned clinical research studies. All applicants must meet the BASIC REQUIREMENT: Successful completion of a bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree from an accredited college or university in a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences that is appropriate to the work of this Health Science Officer - Director, Cooperative Studies Program Center. Specialized experience is experience where you applied expertise in clinical research methodology, biostatistics and/or epidemiology; Serving as a senior scientist in the design, analyses, and administration of clinical research studies; Managing a clinical research program; and providing feedback to others related to clinical research processes.
