The Palliative Care Practice of MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated palliative care physician to join our rapidly growing team at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick ME. This unique position offers a 50-50 job split between inpatient palliative care and ambulatory palliative care as an embedded member of the oncology team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families that are facing serious illness.
This full-time position offers:
- The opportunity to provide comprehensive palliative care consultations for hospitalized patients focusing on symptom management, advanced care planning, and psychosocial support.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work and spiritual care to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- The ability to provide outpatient palliative care services to patients undergoing cancer treatment as an embedded member of the oncology practice.
- The chance to help increase access to specialty palliative care across MaineHealth Medical Group.

Qualifications:
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
- BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
- Hospice experience highly preferred.
