The Director of Radiology Operation is responsible for providing leadership, organization, planning, direction, and coordinated administration to the operational aspects associated with the Radiology Department.

The role partners with leadership to develop strategic, operating, and financial plans to accomplish the enterprise and departmental mission and goals; works with department leadership to identify key performance metrics and ensure that managers maintain program alignment with the measures.

Assures the department maintains a patient/customer focus and achieves fiscal viability by meeting and exceeding budget and operational targets.

Provides oversight and/or direction to radiology managers and associates; coordinates department wide optimization for services throughout Delaware Valley Radiology locations.

Assist with the development and facilitate implementation of marketing/new program development plans for locations/initiatives. Responsible for the development and oversight of budgets for each unit.

Essential Functions-

1. Develop and manage clinical and operational dashboards in alignment with strategic goals and objectives; support monitoring of department performance and day to day operations.
2. Work with department leadership to identify key performance metrics and ensure that managers maintain program alignment with the measures.
3. Recognition of trends in performance for individual programs and set plans accordingly.
4. Understanding of overall marketplace opportunities and threats.
5. Develop managers, promoting greater understanding of strategy and decision-making rationale; develop critical-thinking and strategic planning skills of the management team..
6. Coordinate budget and volume projections in consideration of overall department and DV metrics. Prepare required fiscal and volume reports for Sr. Director as requested.
7. Assure consistent communication with team thru periodic meetings.
8. Set overall targets for Associate engagement /satisfaction.
9. Assure all policies are reflective of current practice and reviewed regularly.
10. Assure compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements; assure EOC compliance and appropriate follow-up when necessary.
11. Develop and monitor long term staffing needs; complete new position requests; maintain long term shifts of staffing FTE's miscellaneous duties and responsibilities
12. Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.

Qualifications-

High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred

Graduate of JRCERT accredited program required

ARRT certification required

CRA preferred

Minimum 5 years of management experience in healthcare required; 8+ years preferred
