The Structural Racism and Health Equity Tutor will workclosely with the Structural Racism and Health Equity Theme Chairs, theAssociate Dean for Curricular Affairs, and the Curricular Affairs Office toreview all curricular materials for signs of bias and to suggest integration ofanti-racist teachings and principles to faculty responsible for delivery ofcontent. In this role, you will also facilitate small group discussions withmedical students and assess students' written reflections on structuraldeterminants of health topics.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $38.50 Hourly
Required:
- Students should bein good academic standing and will have successfully completed at leastfirst-year coursework of medical school.
- Well-versed andcomfortable with identifying and addressing how structural racism manifests inmedical education, clinical practice, and society, as well as its implicationsfor community health and well-being.
- Knowledgeable aboutkey concepts including structural versus social determinants of health, racialcapitalism, history of medical experimentation, race-based medicine, race as asocial construct.
- Skills to workdirectly with medical students and faculty on ways to eliminate and addressissues related to structural racism in the curriculum.
- Low-income, firstgeneration, and underrepresented minority students are encouraged to apply.
Preferred:
- Prior demonstratedcommitment to organizing for racial justice at DGSOM.
