As the RadiologyReceptionist (Administrative Assistant III) and under the direction of theRadiology Administrative Support Staff-Reception Supervisor, you will provideadministrative support for the Department of Radiological Sciences. Major jobfunctions to include but not limited to the registration/arrival of patients,obtaining clinical information pertinent to the scheduled exams and thecollection of cash/insurance and authorization information. It is expected thatyou communicate with referring service/physician on all patient-related mattersinvolving the outpatient population while performing scheduling duties asassigned as well as other administrative tasks.
The Radiology Assistant demonstrates maximum flexibility andmultitasking capabilities while possessing the ability to rotate to existingRadiology Areas.
Salary Range: $29.42 - $42.14 Hourly
- Strong working knowledge of personalcomputers, HIS, RIS, LORAD, PACSCUBE CD Burner, Array Digitizer - stronglypreferred
- Medicalterminology to a level permitting accurate preparation of scheduling patientprocedures interacting with physicians, patients and staff
- Skill inquickly assimilating and retaining a large body of financial screening andpatient registration information
- Workingknowledge of hospital/billing forms and the ability to explain services andcharges to patients and/or family
