Job Description
Physician – Urologist
Charles George VA Medical Center - Asheville, North Carolina.
-Current staffing: 4 Mds, 2 PAs & 2 Residents
As a Staff Urologist, you will work directly with the Chief of Urology Service to provide the most effective delivery of urological care throughout the medical center. The staff Urologist provides a variety of services including pre-operative patient exam and assessment and performs all aspects of Adult Urological Surgery in the clinic and the operating room. Provides urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, ICU, ward and clinic settings as needed, to include on-call coverage (one night per week, one weekend per month and some holidays). Provides critical care related direct care as a part of a multidisciplinary critical care team.
Highlights of this position include:
Potential starting base salary: $345,000 - $375,000
Daily schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00pm
Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery from any U.S. State
Additional requirements:
Board certified or board eligible
Must be able to perform a variety of robotic urologic procedures (DaVinci Robot)

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is the largest integrated health care system in the United States, providing care at 1,321 health care facilities, including 172 VA Medical Centers and 1,138 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics) to over 9 million Veterans enrolled in the VA health care program. The Grand Junction VA Medical Center services those who serve our country providing critical medical services including acute and chronic inpatient and outpatient care.
