Position Information:
The Speech/Language Pathologist Clinical Specialist administers speech/language and dysphagia diagnostic and treatment services to patients and maintains appropriate records. Provides age specific direct patient care according to the department's scope of services and is responsible for observing and evaluating treatment effect and results and discuss them with the patient family team and management. The Clinical Specialist is responsible for identifying strengths and weaknesses and facilitate clinical excellence of staff therapists and assistants through education coaching mentoring and process development. In coordination with department leadership the Clinical Specialist provides input into departmental staff development program development standards of professional practice and clinical competence. The primary setting for this position is the 98 bed Rehab Hospital on the Raleigh campus and may be required to cover other areas of the Rehab continuum as needed. Populations served include stroke spinal cord injury brain injury other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics multi-trauma and debility for both adult and pediatric populations.

Experience Requirements:
4 Years Clinical - Speech/Language Pathology Required - And 1 Year Direct Position Experience Preferred

Education Required:
Master's Degree Speech Language Pathology Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist Required - And Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Required

M-F
