The Mammography Technologist,under the supervision of the Breast Imaging Manager and Medical Director,conducts diagnostic breast imaging procedures utilizing various mammographyequipment. Responsibilities include patient education, equipment setup, adherenceto quality assurance procedures, and ensuring patient comfort andconfidentiality. They review radiology requests, coordinate exams with otherservices, and maintain accurate records while adhering to departmentalprotocols and hospital policies. Additionally, they participate in equipmentmaintenance, supply management, and uphold professionalism and customer servicestandards across UCLA Health Breast Imaging Centers.
Salary Range: $49.73 -$65.56 Hourly
- ARRT license - required
- CRT Mammography license - required
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association or AmericanRed Cross
- At least 1 year of experience in Breast Imaging - required
- Associate's Degree or Higher - preferred
- Ability to identify and recognize contraindications forexams. (Radiology Only)
- Ability to prioritize work, handling multiple tasks to completion,within the time allotted
- Ability to respond efficiently to expressed needs of referringservices, physicians and patients
- Excellent interpersonal skills effectively and diplomatically withpatients, visitors, hospital staff, physicians, and other
- Knowledge of medical terminology, with ability to distinguishbetween- types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medicaldiagnoses
