Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates the purchase and control of supplies and equipment with occasional guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identifies, locates and purchases materials, supplies and equipment in a cost effective manner. Completes necessary purchasing documentation.
* Maintains accurate inventory of assets and supplies. Forecasts inventory needs.
* Prioritizes purchase requests to provide timely delivery of necessary products.
* May maintain product information and warranty files.
* May be responsible for patient charge capture for dispensed medical supplies to ensure accurate patient billing.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
* Data Entry (Intermediate): The ability to transcribe information from the original source into an electronic system according to written and verbal instructions efficiently and accurately.
* Cost Allocation (Intermediate): Analyzing and recording costs to the appropriate accounts.
* Purchasing (Fundamental Awareness): Understands the concepts behind supplier relations and supply chain management. Handles supplier-related activities, requests for pricing, and purchases of goods and services while ensuring appropriate costs, schedules, quality, deliveries, terms, and conditions.
* Inventory Management (Intermediate): Monitors material movement into and out of stock, reconciles inventory balances, and maintains adequate inventory levels.
