Summary:

The Case Manager Admissions and Denial Coordinator provides utilization management on all admitted patients for Behavioral Health Hospital. The Coordinator facilitates discharge planning, assists in coordination of patient documentation and processes.

Responsibilities:

Ensures the discharge planning and medication/order management for designated patients.

Ensures timely documentation in patients' electronic medical records (EMR) and completion of assessments and necessary regulatory documents within 24-48 hours for all assigned patients.

Manages referral forms, applications, and logs within the Case Management department.

Handles Utilization Review and Management, Appeals, Denials, and Peer-to-Peer requests/set-up.

Facilitates high-level communication with providers and staff. Conducts training for new hires on utilization management, documentation, and processes.

Assists with process improvement initiatives and performs audits.

Keeps informed about compliance requirements and updates.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential:
* BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
* REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Education:

* ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE
