Reporting to the Senior Director/ VP, and in collaboration with department leadership chairs and clinical/ administrative leaders, the Business Manager is a member of the operations team and accountable for the integration of UM Capital's strategic plans and the delivery of perioperative services. This position will assist leadership in the evaluation and administration of business objectives including financial prudence, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, service line growth, and data analytics. The Business Manager will support perioperative systems of care in the procedural areas, surgical programs, and clinical programs of development. Specifically, the Business Manager is responsible for departmental business operations, including patient access, financial management, supply management and the implementation of policies and procedures that support the business operations. As a member of Perioperative leadership team, the Business Manager will work closely with Perioperative and Cap Region Senior leadership to evaluate, develop, implement, and sustain leading practices for a comprehensive care and leading to service line expansion and growth opportunities.

Principal Duties:

• Ensures financial management for perioperative services including: billing processes, charges, analysis, and coordination of processes.
• Ensures maintenance and leads implementation of information systems to support perioperative services.
• Develops proformas to departmental needs including capital, service line expansion etc.
• Leads process improvement initiatives.
• Provides operational oversight including process improvement.
• Manages, supervises, mentors, and trains staff members.
• Responsible for departmental information systems
• Leads program development and support (marketing, analysis of data trends, provider preferences)
• Analyzes, synthesizes, and presents relevant perioperative services data and statistics.
• Develops operational and business action plans based on data and improvement efforts.
• Leads operational oversight to facilitate program success.
• Leads communication and training.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
