The role you’ll contribute:
The Manager of Environmental Services is responsible for providing leadership to the Housekeeping and Linen departments and for management of its human, material and financial resources.The Manager is expected to role model the organizational values of care, quality, stewardship, accountability, integrity and courtesy.The Manager is expected to formulate a plan for the operation of the departments responsible in alignment with the AdventHealth vision core purpose/mission and which reports and is fully integrated with the organizational Strategic Plan and operational goals and objectives. The Manager maintains a working knowledge of current industry standards for the care and cleaning of the hospital environment and integrates that knowledge into daily practice.The Manager interfaces with patients and family to assess the effectiveness of his staff and organization and takes corrective action as necessary.The Manager will use LEAN theory to establish and maintain performance improvement activities within the department and actively participates in the Florida Hospital System of Care.The Manager will work cooperatively with other leaders throughout the facility to achieve department and hospital-wide quality, patient satisfaction and financial goals. General responsibilities include overseeing and directing the day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department ensuring a clean, orderly and safe environment.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all offices, patient areas, and public spaces. ·Planning, scheduling, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of patient satisfaction. ·Purchase, re-order and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory. ·Assists Director with budgetary planning to develop the next year’s annual budget for approval. ·Responsible for financial performance of the department. Manage the existing Housekeeping budget and the Laundry budget.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) minimum. ·A minimum of 2-5 years Healthcare Environmental Services experience or functional equivalence of Healthcare experience with knowledge of Environmental Services standards, goals and techniques.
