Prepares and administers radioactive isotopes, and operates Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment. What you will do:Performs high quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging exams utilizing ACR guidelines to obtain the desired diagnostic patient information for the Radiologist.Complies with the State of Colorado guidelines for radiation safe practice in the handling of radiopharmaceuticals.Performs quality control procedures to ensure optimal performance of all Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and radiation hot lab equipment.Practices safe handling of radioactive materials according to State of Colorado regulations to ensure minimal radiation exposure to self and others.Performs record keeping, customer service functions, and communicates feedback in order to ensure goals of the department are met and operation runs efficiently.Participates in various teaching and/or learning opportunities in order to further knowledge and to assist in expanding the knowledge of others.Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, patient's family, physicians, co- workers, and other members of the health care team to contribute to continuity of care.Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.Perform other duties as assigned.
