The Registered Nurse (RN) provides operational oversight of all medical staff peer review process to ensure accurate identification, tracking, analysis, and reporting of clinical performance and/or unprofessional conduct. This position will collect, compile, and analyze peer review data in a manner that promotes education, improvement, and patient safety; and conduct ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of all peer review activities. The Medical Staff Peer Review Specialist will work closely with the Medical Staff Excellence Committee (MSEC) Chair, Vice President of Medical Affairs, and Medical Staff in order to maintain peer review structure and its integrity.

Willingness to ask questions, take initiative to streamline processes, procedures, and practices.
Required:
Current California Registered Nurse
Acute care nursing experience with knowledge of the peer review process, physician performance profiles, and statistical control methods preferred
Computer literacy with expertise in database entry, extraction, reporting and analysis
