We are seeking an experienced M&E Program Manager to join our team under the guidance of the Director of Monitoring & Evaluation. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your technical expertise to support teams in data analytics, interpretation, visualization, and the creation of compelling presentations and reports for diverse audiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Enhancing existing analysis and presentation systems
Driving M&E innovations
Boosting the overall data analysis and presentation capacity within the organization.
Leading the M&E components of QI initiatives, from indicator development to data collection and analysis,
Working closely with senior program officers and mentoring teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring that our Quality Improvement (QI) M&E systems are fully functional, responsive to program needs, and aligned with the highest standards. This is an opportunity to contribute to high-impact research projects.
Salary: $32.95 - $67.53 hourly
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to live and work full time in Lilongwe, Malawi or to travel to Malawi frequently for on-site work
Minimum of Master's degree (Public Health, Science, or Policy), with specialized skills in Information computation design, computer and information sciences, graphic design, basic statistics, data visualization (Tableau and Power Bi), or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience
Experience with data analysis and data visualization using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power Bi, SPSS, etc.
Demonstrated ability to take complex information and/or large data sets and translate them for use in graphic or interactive visualizations for the web and/or other media
Demonstrated experience in synthesizing and disseminating best practices and lessons learned to key stakeholders in a global health setting
Strong data management and analysis skills and ability to independently solve analytic challenges (clean datasets, identify data outliers, address gaps in data)
Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, competing deadlines and intense pressure with at least 2 years of experience working a resource limited global health setting (Africa preferred)
Demonstrated talent in writing high quality technical program reports
Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and data presentation skills and ability to represent the organization to donors (USAID) and government (Ministry of Health) with the highest level of professionalism
Knowledge of and experience in health information management systems, and patient-level databases is preferred with background of working in these systems in a global health setting
Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Word and PowerPoint and the ability to rapidly process and analyze data using Tableau, Power Bi, SPSS, Epi-Info, Stata, MS Access, MS Excel and other packages required.
Preferred:
Experience managing a team of at least 10-20 staff in a global health setting (Africa preferred)
Experience with mentorship and capacity building in a resource limited setting (Africa preferred)
Experience working in US government funded HIV programs (PEPFAR under USAID or CDC) with program implementation or monitoring and evaluation.
