Job Description

Applications Specialist I

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are hiring an Applications Specialist I to support MSK's Application services. In this role you will collaborate with other teams to provide application technical expertise to meet the needs of the business objectives.

Role Overview:

• Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with applications, technology, integration and automated workflow solutions.
• Works through the full implementation life cycle of projects, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, enhancements and support.
• Understands the details of the application offerings and features in order to weigh options between out of the box vs. custom functionality.
• Identifies gaps and provides application technical expertise for new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Able to apply application tools to meet complex business requirements when needed.
• Collaborates with other teams and third-party providers in the planning, design and implementation of integrations required to meet business objectives.
• Able to establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors as needed.
• Documents details of technological solutions.

Key Qualifications:

• Around 2 years of experience in application design and tools.
• Operates defined tasks and responsibilities.
• Understand technical discussions at the 'task level'.
• Experience with Hospital Information Systems preferred.
• Strong experience with SQL Programming.
• Tableau Dashboard Developmen.t
• Relational Database Concepts.
• Healthcare Interface Fundamentals.
• Physical and Virtual Server Concepts.

Core Skills:

• A critical thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• A professional with applicable knowledge and actionable experience.
• Works effectively on a team and individually.
• Skilled in working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and implementing communications based on that understanding.

Additional Information:

• Location: 1275 York Ave.
• Reporting to the Associate Director, Application Services
• Hybrid Schedule: In office 1-2 times a quarter.

Pay Range: $98,500.00-$157,600.00
