Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Revenue Integrity Analyst II

Reporting to the Revenue Integrity Manager, this role involves serving as a subject matter expert within a key team focused on enhancing revenue outcomes. The team takes a comprehensive approach, examining clinical and financial processes, functions, and interdependencies from patient care to final bill generation. The role requires direct communication with physicians, nurses, patient accounts, and the billing department to ensure compliance with MSKCC's charge capture standards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Budget teams to process and educate on quarterly and yearly CPT/HCPCS changes affecting the CDM.

• Address inquiries and provide analysis and recommendations regarding CDM policies and procedures.

• Analyze coding and billing rule changes using relevant reference materials, online sources, seminars, and publications. Implement work plans to adjust systems and processes accordingly.

• Perform root cause analysis on Epic work/error queue data and execute corrective work plans. Present findings to the Sr. Revenue Integrity Analyst and Manager.

• Assist in and monitor department charge reconciliation education and training.

• Monitor payer websites for coverage determinations affecting CDM and charge capture workflows.

• Provide guidance to various clinical departments on accurate charge capture, CPT/HCPCS coding, and billing processes.

Key Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hospital revenue experience.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Epic is a plus.

• Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word).

Core Skills:

• Excellent relationship-building abilities, with experience in managing stakeholder expectations and cultivating new relationships at all levels.

• Skilled in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting payer payment policies, billing guidelines, and state and federal regulations.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at navigating evolving business needs.

• Exceptional communication skills.

Additional Information:

Location: Hybrid, NYC; flexibility to work across MSK sites

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday

Reporting to: Revenue Integrity Manager

Pay Range: $80,300 - $128,400 annually
