The Physician’s Assistant (PA) is responsible for overseeing and participating in day-to-day clinical care of patients. Employees are involved in direct patient care (in a clinic, in-home care, etc.). They are considered an extension to Physicians and provide direct patient care in the clinic. The Physician’s Assistant may obtain/review member medical history data (e.g., charts, electronic records, interdisciplinary team records). The PA may interview member to obtain information related to member condition, ask open-ended questions to obtain health history or other critical member information, and assess member environment for impact on member medical/psychosocial care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and med management
- Prescribing psychotropic medications
- Order/interpret diagnostic tests/reports

Required Qualifications:
- Certified as either a Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in state of practice or the ability to obtain within 90 days
- Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain within 90 days
- 2+ years of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with children and adolescents is highly favorable
- Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
- Proven competent with a wide range of clinical presentations
- Demonstrated a history of professional growth and development
