The Duke University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks a BC/BE, Orthopaedic surgeon to join the Division of Adult Reconstruction. Ideal candidates will be fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction (primary/revision hip and knee arthroplasty), and also have a strong interest in research and teaching.
The clinical practice will be in Durham County, with surgical cases primarily performed at Duke University Hospital, and potentially time at the Durham VA Medical Center. The surgeon hired will also have access to the Arringdon surgical platform where arthroplasty cases will be performed in the outpatient setting. Call coverage would be in conjunction with Duke Orthopaedic physicians in Durham, currently a practice of 32 surgeons that brings excellence to the greater Durham area with a wide array of orthopaedic services and provides the highest quality continuum of care for patients of all ages. The surgeon hired will also have access to privileges at Duke Regional and Duke Raleigh Hospital.
Candidates with research aspirations can receive a university appointment and support across the broad range of research themes in the department. Specific interest in clinical outcomes research in hip and knee arthroplasty is a plus. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and training.
