Schedule: Full-time 40 hours/week 7a-3:30p; No weekends, no holidays

The role you’ll contribute:
Assesses, plans, implementing and evaluates staff development activities for respiratory therapy services.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
·Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
·Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
·Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs.
·Evaluates respiratory practice and treatment based on patient outcomes.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
·Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
·1 year of experience required.
·5 years acute care experience preferred.
·1 year neonate/pediatric experience preferred.
·Experience drawing and running ABG’s preferred.
·Prior supervisor or educator experience preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
·BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
·Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
·Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
·Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
·Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
·Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
·Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
