Description
The Brain and Body Program in Chapel Hill is looking to hire a Per Diem Neurologist to join our team.
The Brain and Body Program at UNC provides a comprehensive physical and behavioral health assessment to athletes recently retired from their professional football career, and is a benefit offered to them every 5 years thereafter.
This opening is to support, on a per diem basis, our current program Neurologist who is out of office from time to time. The per diem Neurologist will be part of an interdisciplinary care team consisting of Family medicine, Sports Medicine, Psychiatry, Psychology, Vestibular and Speech Therapy, Audiology, Nutrition, and Imaging. The program is administered over three days and the player patient leaves us with a plan of care and a nurse case manager to connect them to services within their home geography.
Program Hours: currently Neurology holds a Thursday afternoon (1-5p) schedule and this has some potential to shift to a different day if needed.
Job Qualifications:
Graduation from accredited school of medicine (MD/DO)
BE/BC Neurology
NC State License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred
FCVS profile preferred for those without NC license but not required
Previous experience required
