- This team support is 24 hours per day/7 days per week
- Department receives incoming call notifications screening organ offers for patients on transplant waiting list.
- Will work with clinical team to decide organ suitability and support logistices planning for transport of organs.
- Will internact with external customers across the United States.

The Transplant Service department at Barnes-Jewish and Washington University focuses only on patients undergoing transplant and those with specific diseases leading up to transplantation. Each transplant coordinator on the transplant team is an expert in their transplant field of specialty. Together, they bring their expertise, knowledge and understanding to the patients in our multiple transplant programs. The transplant coordinator organizes and manages all aspects of care provided before and after transplant.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Supports the solid organ transplant program by providing assistance to the Transplant Coordinators. Ensures smooth and efficient office operations. Assists with triaging patient and provider phone calls, accurately updates patient medical records through result entry and documentation. Assists with scheduling, canceling and rescheduling patient appointments and provides patients with scheduled for upcoming appointments. Follows regulatory guidance in daily job responsibilities.
