Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health is seeking a full-time Pediatric Rheumatologist to join the dynamic and growing Division at IU School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will enjoy a collaborative and innovative team in the state's only board-certified group and one of the largest in the country. Our faculty is a balanced mixture of all academic levels and years of experience who are invested in delivering best patient care in a collegial environment, and well-equipped to manage patient care for a wide spectrum of conditions with access to the newest and most promising medicines and treatment protocols in field.
The Department of Pediatrics at Riley Children's is a 400-member faculty that representants the breadth and depth of all pediatric subspecialties. We are consistently within the top 10 pediatric departments in NIH funded research in the United States (Peds 2023 #9 among all medical schools and #3 among all public institutions) and have 19 Fellowship programs. The campus includes state-of-the-art laboratories in a dedicated pediatric research building, a comprehensive clinical research center, and a well-functioning biobank that all support research in the Department. Our nationally recognized Division of Children’s Health Services Research and the Indiana Clinical Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) are available for collaboration and as a resource.
Position Highlights
Join eight faculty physicians, two fellows, five dedicated pediatric rheumatology nurses, five clinical research specialists, and dedicated support staff.
Enjoy a strong work/life balance with a standard schedule and equitable shared call coverage
Deliver excellent care through inpatient consultative services at Riley Children’s Hospital, outpatient consultation, and ongoing care of children with rheumatologic diseases in local and outreach clinics. Multidisciplinary clinics include TMJ-JIA, Ophthalmology-Rheumatology Uveitis and Immune Dysregulation.
Embrace academic duties with learners of all levels including IUSM students, residents, fellows and junior faculty; support the growth of the division through active recruitment, and an innovative approach to generate interest the pediatric rheumatology subspecialty
Riley Children's is a dedicated site for clinical research and active in national groups; maintain involvement in the Arthritis Foundation, Cure JM, and through clinical studies sponsored by Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) and the Pediatric Rheumatology Collaborative Study Group (PRCSG)

ABMS Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship
BC Pediatrics, BC/BE Pediatric Rheumatology
Physician MD/DO/MD-PhD, licensed in Indiana or eligible with clean license
