At our pre-clinical development site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee Scientist to join our Dispensary lab in the Genetic Toxicology department.

The main responsibilities will include:
Preparation of formulations and materials for use in other laboratory areas to GLP compliant systems, including proper and controlled use of any necessary equipment and performance of relevant sterility and quality control checks
Maintaining lab cleanliness, supplies and tidiness (cleaning, calibrations, reagent prep and disposal, waste disposal etc.).
Maintaining laboratory equipment and equipment records within laboratory areas.
Accurate recording and data checking
Meeting production deadlines required by customers both internally and externally
Acknowledging safe receipt of a test compound to the client within 24 hours of arrival within the department

Education:
Educated to BSc level in a relevant life science subject
Skills / Experience:
Knowledge and understanding of Good Laboratory Practice and aseptic techniques
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information
Ability to perform mathematical calculations
Familiarity with standard spreadsheet and word-processing software applications
Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
