The role you’ll contribute:
The manager of campus space planning and construction management oversees planning, design, and construction activities related to alterations, renovations, reconfigurations, system upgrades, and other various campus initiatives. This position is responsible for managing multiple corporate campus initiatives according to strict quality standards, deadlines, and within budget, while maintaining high levels of safety and customer satisfaction. The position works directly with senior leadership to develop space planning and construction/reconfiguration management strategies for the realization of the goals and objectives set forth by the corporate campus position control and space governance committee. Character traits include strong communication skills, problem solver, commitment to deliver results, multi-tasker, strategic planner, excellent collaborator, and team player with a positive 'can do' attitude.

CAMPUS PLANNING
·Plans utilization of space consistent with campus standards and available facilities and funding.
·Develops drawings and other deliverables to support corporate campus space planning scenarios and decisions.
·Acts as primary contact for new requests, to gathers requirements and proposes potential solutions.
·Ensures the protection of corporate campus designs standards.
·Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets, and schedules.
·Identifies problems and develops solutions such as allocation of resources or changing project scope.
·Responsible for managing the departments space management system, ensuring space validation, and updating of occupancy metrics.
·Manages space allocation process, maintain data accuracy, and performs periodic data and drawing audits.
·Manages campus space forecasts and updates long term plans accordingly.
·Applies knowledge to forecast space requirements based on verified existing space information, forecasted space supply/demand and growth projections.
·Provides metrics around current and future space needs.
·Collaborates with senior department leaders and other team members to gain business intelligence to support space decisions.
·Collaborates with the campus administration analyst to produce graphic charts and diagrams for visual display of quantitative and qualitative information, illustrating organizational, operational, and functional relationships that pose physical and spatial impacts.
·Communicate recommendations through reporting and graphic presentations.
·Leads space meetings, gather requirements, and obtain requisite approvals.
·Generate conceptual solutions that respond to the requester's requirements, considering physical planning constraints, IT, HR, and compliance requirements.
·Prepare required space forecast data for space and position committee decisions.
·Manages space allocation data for corporate finance.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
·Responsible for all planning, design, and construction activities related to alterations, renovations, reconfigurations, system upgrades, and other various campus initiatives.
·Develops project budget by obtaining accurate proposals from the corresponding vendors.
·Process CER's/Requisition PO's for all project related items in accordance with the approved budget.
·Develop project plans and schedule according to scope of work.
·Determine which teams need to be included on project.
·Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.
·Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and end users.
·Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
·Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones .
·Track project milestones and deliverables.
·Issue status reports to the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
·Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.
·Supervise project team members and subcontractors, influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
·Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
·Deliver a high-quality initiative, on time and within budget
·Conduct project 'Lessons Learned' meetings and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
·Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management TRANSITION PLANNING
·Develop and implement relocation plans for large departmental moves.
·Organizes transition Team (IT, Facilities, etc.)
·Establishes department level Point of Contacts
·Develop and maintain transition timeline
·Identify transition tasks, monitor progress (synchronized with construction and outfitting schedules)
·Review/revise facility wide program/process
·Develop a plan for managing change to the new designed space
·Assist in scheduling staff orientation to new location
·Coordinate training for any new IT equipment (i.e. phones, AV equipment, etc.)
·Coordinate telephone deployment which would include communication with teams who manage phone Directory.
·Coordinate with Security Team access changes for relocated employees
·Coordinate key control plan with Facilities Team
·Coordinate interior signage
·Coordinate any additional furniture, fixtures, and equipment needs
·Determine equipment and systems new/existing needs
·Develop move guides as well as coordinate communication regarding departments new location
·Serves as a liaison between move relocation service and end users.
·Conduct project 'Lessons Learned' meetings and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·5 or more years' experience in project management/transition planning.
·5 or more years' experience in facility planning and space management.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION:
·Project Manager Professional (PMP)
·Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
