The Opportunity:
Foundation Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Adult Hospitalist to join Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, a 152-bed facility and the leading healthcare provider in our community. Although we are in a rural setting with the nearest hospital over 300 miles away, we are part of a multidisciplinary health system with a broad range of specialties, offering robust resources to support comprehensive patient care. Our hospitalists deliver full-spectrum internal medicine, providing a unique opportunity to practice a broad scope of care. Responsibilities include daily rounding on ICU, medical, and surgical inpatients, performing admissions from the ER, and attending rapid response and code situations. Our hospitalists also manage ICU procedures like ventilator management, intubation, and central line placement.
- Compensation: $2,611/ shift, with additional opportunities for quality incentive bonuses. $65k sign-on bonus.
- Schedule: 148 12/hr shifts per year.
- Patients: 14-bed ICU average of census of 6-9. 32-bed Med Surg average census of 18, ALOS 2.8-3.1 days. 28-bed Surgical Floor, average census 11-12, ALOS 3 days.
- Team: 12 hospitalists, a robust nursing team, and a healthy per diem bench.

Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in state where he/she practices.
Board Eligible/Board Certified by appropriate certifying board. Current DEA number.
Must apply for and maintain Medical Staff membership and clinical privileges at appropriate facilities if required by Physician's employment agreement. Requires commitment to healthcare and concern for people in distress, critical listening skills and ability to communicate clearly, desire to work with all types of people and work as a team member and excellent interpersonal skills. Able to meet desired business outcomes while maintaining quality of care. Must be willing to update skills constantly.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
