Position: RN Oncology
Patient Population:?High level PCU level care, Oncology, Chemo, Cardiac w/ drips, postop surgery breast, bladder, lung, colon, crani, etc.
Patient Ratios: 1:4 for PCU, Oncology; 1:5 for Med/Tele
Shift: Full Time Days, 7am-7pm | 12-hour shifts | 3 shifts per week to include 4 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
Number of Beds: 20 beds
Department Specifics: Active Unit Based Council, Pharmacist and Social Worker on the unit during the day to partner with nurses in patient care, Multidisciplinary Team that works together. chemo training is required; must be within the first 90 days.
Experience Required: Patient and Team focused approach, two (2) years of recent, full-time inpatient acute care bedside experience. Prefer PCU/Step-down experience. Strong critical thinking skills.

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.
What You'll Do
- You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
- Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
- Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
- You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
- Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
- You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
- Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.

Qualifications
- Grad of an Accredited Program
- A current and valid nursing license.
- Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
- Patient and Team focused approach, two (2) years of recent, full-time inpatient acute care bedside experience. Prefer PCU/Step-down experience. Strong critical thinking skills.
