Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science, Hialeah

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is recruiting a full time, non-tenure accruing Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science, in its Hialeah Dental Center AEGD program. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor and Team Leader for the Hialeah Dental Center will be responsible for both clinical and administrative oversight of 12 first or second year foreign trained dentists in a CODA accredited AEGD program. This position will be hired at 0.8 FTE.
Qualified applicants must be comfortable supervising all disciplines of restorative dentistry including operative, fixed and removable prosthodontics and periodontics. It will be expected that team leaders will meet regularly with their team for the purpose of patient care management, seminar teaching, case presentation and pertinent business. In addition, team leaders will be expected to monitor:
Individual student clinical progress toward competency and graduation, as well as assuming the timely treatment of each patient and their needs.
Team quality assurance to ensure that accurate chart notes and billings, post-treatment patient interviews, clinical evaluations, and patient recalls occur.
Screening and treatment planning of new patients.
Team clinical production and assist in containing costs and running an efficient, effective clinic.
Applicants must have a DDS, DMD or equivalent degree. Preferred qualifications include: Advanced training in general dentistry (AEGD or GPR), previous teaching experience at post graduate level, three or more years of private practice experience, experience with digital workflows, knowledge of scanners, Exocad and 3D printing.

Expected Salary:
Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
DDS, DMD or equivalent degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced training in general dentistry (AEGD or GPR).

Three or more years of private practice experience.
Experience with digital workflows, knowledge of scanners, Exocad and 3D printing.
