The Mechanic Technician performs building and mechanical maintenance to ensure proper operations of all equipment located within the facility and associated properties. The
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Responsible for maintenance and operation of boiler plant equipment, including pipe fitting, welding, lubrication, plumbing and cleaning of equipment. Assist with the preparations of the boilers and other equipment for inspection.
2.Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
3.Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to Supervisor and takes appropriate action.
4.Notify Supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
5.Assist the electrician in ensuring that the correct operating parameters are in order for all systems of the emergency generators, in case of a power failure.
6.Call attention to the Supervisor of any item requiring special attention.
7.Assist the electrician with test runs of the emergency generators, under load, observing operation and logging readings.
8.Assist the HVAC technician when needed.
9.Operate water softener to keep the water within the prescribed limits in accordance with the operating manual.
10.Responsible for proper operations and chemical balance of the swimming pool and spas.
11.Perform general building maintenance such as routine plumbing and electrical repairs, and painting.
12.Responsible for the maintenance of all electronic equipment and/or systems, kitchen appliances and laundry equipment.
13.Responsible for maintaining the keying system for the facility and associated buildings including the cutting of keys, repair, installation and maintenance of locks and door closers, and for programming new electronic keys.
14.Responsible for maintaining and preparing audio-visual equipment ready when needed.
15.Periodically, on a rotating basis, is on call as scheduled.
16.Cross trains with maintenance software.
17.Perform other jobs as requested; including general maintenance work.
Requirements:
A.Education/Skills
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and written specifications.
Ability to mount, connect, and adjust components, i.e. transformers, motor electrodes, relays, solenoids, etc.
Must display initiative and good judgment.
Computer literacy preferred.
B.Experience
3 years related experience.
C.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
Texas Driver?s License
Master Plumbing certification preferred
