The role you’ll contribute:
The Point of Care Coordinator is a medical laboratory scientist responsible for the oversight of hospital Point of Care Testing (POCT) (non-waived) in accordance with State and Federal regulations and accreditation standards.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Ensures the Quality Management of the POCT program is maintained in adherence to applicable regulations and accreditation standards. ·Maintains POCT policies and procedures. ·Maintains self-competencies required to oversee the POCT program. ·Represents the AdventHealth Laboratory department in a manner consistent with supervisory responsibility in patient, employee, visitor, and physician interactions. ·Ensures all testing personnel have required training and competency assessment maintained and appropriately documented.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science •Two years clinical laboratory experience ·In licensure states, Laboratory Supervisor Level Licensure in appropriate specialty(ies) for the department or location assignment as applicable to the state -OR - ·In non-licensure states, must hold a national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist such as ASCP, AAB, or AMT unless grandfathered per state requirement requirement
