Position Details:
Full-time, Night Shift

100% Inpatient
No Call
Patient population: Pediatric general surgery and trauma, Newborn - age 18
Currently: 10 physicians and 12 advanced providers in the practice
Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with Pediatric General Surgeon and resident/fellow trainees to provide care to a variety of surgical, post operative, trauma population
First line of communication for nursing as well as other service lines at night
Response to consultation requests, floor concerns, post operative follow up, discharge / orders and clinical care as needed over night
Inpatient & bedside procedures as necessary
Inpatient rounding and cross coverage of Pediatric General Surgery and trauma patient population
Trauma alert and Trauma one response
Qualifications:
FNP, PNP or PA certification required
3-5 years of APP Experience working with pediatric patients required
Experience with pediatric general surgery and trauma populations preferred
Ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, have ability to work independently and collaboratively, very patient-centric with time and care of patients and place a high emphasis on productivity and efficiency
