You will play a crucial role in being the main gatekeeper for student placement for clinical rotations and being sure that they complete them successfully. 9-5 M-F hours, however may be busier around the school season
Facilitate tours, talks and career events with middle school and high schools in our region at any of our hospitals
Support schools or hospital career days by providing informative presentations to raise awareness about the profession of clinical laboratory science as their career of choice
Successful coordinators are efficient, organized and have good interpersonal skills.

Role Purpose
This role develops and presents educational programs that increase or reinforce knowledge and critical thinking for all laboratories within the system. This role also coordinates the orientation, placement, and training of students, facilitates contracts, and is the liaison between clinical programs and the system HSO. This role evaluates and improves the effectiveness of the training and placement program.
Responsibilities
Primary liaison between Colleges and HSO to facilitate student placement, rotation, and orientation. Facilitates contract completion for the system with colleges sending students for clinical laboratory rotations.
Works with educational outreach departments to facilitate tours, talks, and represent the laboratory at career events.
Collaborates with staff and representatives of other organizations to develop, present and or evaluate clinically focused training, continuing education and or professional development opportunities.
Collaborates with leadership to assess the educational needs of the staff and develops appropriate education plan.
Participates in professional development and life long learning.
