This role is ideally suited for physicians trained in Emergency Medicine, or those with backgrounds in Family Practice or Internal Medicine who possess significant Emergency Medicine experience. The physician is responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of urgent health issues, performing common procedures, and making critical decisions regarding patient care and treatment plans. Additionally, the physician will collaborate with other healthcare professionals both in the local VA clinic and providers in the community to ensure comprehensive patient care and will stay updated with the latest medical procedures and practices relevant to urgent care medicine.
Salary Range-$230,000-$325,000 plus incentives!

The city of Redding in Shasta County (upper northern California) has a unique geography. Redding is bounded on three sides by state or national parks (Shasta/Trinity, Whiskeytown and Lassen Natl Park). This semi-rural area has multiple wilderness environments nearby ideally suited for many outdoors and wilderness activities including rock climbing at Castle crags, or Mountain climbing at Mt Shasta (14,000 ft peak, the second highest in the cascade mountain chain). White water rafting and/or fly fishing is readily available on several rivers (Sacramento, Pit, Mcloud, and Trinity rivers) and multiple local mountain biking trails. The Redding VA urgent care is a new facility with a very positive reviews from and interactions with the veterans it serves. Our urgent care has the capability to utilized CT/US and MRI in addition to labs for diagnostic purposes. We have a good relationship with many consultative specialties including ENT, Urology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, and Wound care locally and full scope of specialties via Mather Hospital Sacramento 2 hours south. This position is ideally suited for an Emergency Medicine physician or IM/FM with substantial ED experience.
