Summary:

Transports patients to their inpatient bed and/or to and from other areas such as admitting, surgery, therapy or radiology in a safe and timely manner. Retrieves medical records, lab results, supplies and medications as required. Prioritizes duties to facilitate department flow. Maintains and cleans equipment.

Responsibilities:

?Ensures that established safety procedures are followed throughout the transportation process. 

?Monitors the proper functioning of all transportation equipment on a daily basis. 

?Knowledge of patient safety, basic transportation equipment, infection control processes, clerical skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and good communication and organizational skills. 

Requirements:

A.Education/Skills 

?High School Diploma or equivalent years of experience preferred. 

B.Experience 

? None Required

C.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications 

?BLS
