The role you’ll contribute:
The Rehab Liaison is a multi-faceted position.It includes evaluating and coordinating outside and assist with in house referrals to the rehabilitation unit, as well as implementing and following up on marketing activities to physicians, case managers, social workers, and other referral sources.The liaison is responsible for increasing the rehabilitation unit’s current volume by building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential referral sources.The Liaison may be asked to inform referral sources of other services and programs provided by the hospital.Performs other duties as assigned.

·Coordinates appointments/ luncheons to physicians and office staff, hospital case managers/social workers/discharge planners. ·Assists in implementing community events involving referral sources. ·Works with insurers and managed care companies to educate about Rehab services and capabilities. ·Provides information to patient and family and significant other regarding rehab process. ·Promotes a positive relationship with referral sources (i.e. physicians, case manager and the community). ·Networks with families and patients to explain rehab services and reimbursement. ·Tours families through facilities. ·Coordinates outside admission referrals and follow-up with referral sources to ensure proper communication throughout the admission process. ·Increases referrals from existing sources and new referral sources by educating about programs/services.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Licensure in a healthcare related field ·Bachelor in Nursing preferred. ·Three years healthcare related experience preferred. ·One-year sales/marketing experience or experience in acute rehab marketing preferred.
