The primary function will be the interpretation of physician's orders, dispensing appropriate medications, and counseling patients on the proper use of their medications. Pharmacist will have knowledge of drugs and drug products, appropriate dosages, routes of administration, physical and chemical properties, and incompatibilities. A pharmacist in this assignment handles routine medication-related activities in accordance with local, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN), and national policies and regulations.
