Hyperbaric Technician
SUMMARY: The Hyperbaric Technician shall assume responsibility for the safety and efficient treatment of patients. The technician should work towards and maintain a Hyperbaric Technician Certification. Hyperbaric training should be obtained at ATMO in San Antonio or a National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) approved hyperbaric medicine introductory training course. The Hyperbaric Tech covers the following additional duties as a Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator: Oversees the safety and regulatory requirements of the hyperbaric program in collaboration with the Nursing Director. Completes an approved Hyperbaric Oxygen Safety course and should learn how to perform a Transcutaneous Oximetry test in the unit. Understands all safety aspects of the chamber. Maintains a
