Embark on a rewarding career in healthcare through our Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician Boot Camp. This on-the-job training program is designed for applicants seeking to work in a clinical setting with no prior healthcare experience.

The Boot Camp is offered at all five hospital sites: Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center, Newton Medical Center, and Hackettstown Medical Center. This 10-day paid training program is spread over two weeks (Monday-Friday). Upon completion, you will begin your full-time or part-time position, seamlessly transitioning from Boot Camp training to your work placement.

Steps after you register for Boot Camps:

• A Recruiter will review your application and be in contact with you to screen you and discuss what facility/facilities you are interested in working at.
• If you qualify your resume will be given to the Managers for consideration. Managers will set up interviews with candidates they consider.
• If you are not chosen to be interviewed, you will receive an email to inform you.
• If you are chosen to be interviewed, you will be contacted to inform you if you are receiving an offer for the position you interviewed for.
• You must be hired for a position to attend a Boot Camp.

During the program, you will learn how to safely provide care for patients, including:

• Obtaining Vital Signs and Blood Glucose Monitoring: Master the art of monitoring vital signs and blood glucose levels - crucial skills for any healthcare professional.
• Caring for Specialized Patients: Gain specialized knowledge in caring for valued patients, ranging from geriatric to obstetrics, and our general population.
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Make a positive impact by helping patients with their daily needs, including feeding, bathing, etc., promoting independence and dignity.
• Mobilizing Patients: Learn techniques to assist patients in movement and mobility, contributing to their recovery journey.
