Job Summary:
The Senior IT Software Asset Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of the company's software assets. This role involves ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements, managing software inventory, and implementing best practices for software asset management (SAM). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software asset management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Responsible for overseeing the management of Enterprise IT Assets, both hardware and software. Key functions include handling audit data requests, developing centralized IT Asset Management processes and procedures, managing daily operations, maintenance, and reporting for the hardware Lifecyle and, software license compliance and optimization. Developing procedures to track and maintain hardware performance, manage hardware warranties, and ensure timely device upgrades. Functions as a project lead, coach, and mentor to other employees, ensuring the organization's IT hardware and software assets are compliant and cost-effective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Asset Analyst
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets, including licenses, versions, and installations.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.
- Collaborate with IT, procurement, and legal teams to optimize software usage and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate risks related to software compliance.
- Provide training and support to staff on software asset management best practices.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in software licensing.
- Proven expertise in utilizing Flexera for software asset management.
- In-depth knowledge of software licensing and compliance.
- Extensive experience in automating software license entitlements within the Flexera platform.
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud licensing rules, including VMware, IBM, and Oracle.
- Proficiency in license optimization and cost reduction strategies.
Required:
- 5+ years Flexera Platform Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software asset management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in software asset management tools (Flexera/ServiceNow) and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, ITIL) are a plus.
